Shop Mechanic

Smaller, family/community spirited company looking to hire a mechanically inclined, millwright, and or certified Heavy Duty Mechanic. This position does not require certification - although that would be a highly welcomed asset. The person we are looking for should be driven, self-motivated, and wants long term, steady employment with a key role in management of the shop side of business. We’re looking for the right fit into our team environment - you should be willing to interview us as well to make sure it's right for you!

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• In charge of managing your own time, we are looking for a leadership position in which you are in charge of the shop, scheduling of maintenance and possibly under taking a helper if it suits.
• Managing a fleet of highway trucks and tractor trailers. Performing maintenance and or scheduling more in depth maintenance.
• Maintenance and management of a fleet of heavy equipment and pick up trucks.
• Communicating with foreman, dispatch and management with fleet maintenance timelines, parts, repairs, etc.
• Ordering parts for maintenance, using PO’s, keeping excellent records.
• Highly organized individual. We will provide the tools you need to stay organized.

Tools are provided, bringing your own tools would be another asset in which you would be compensated for.

Prior knowledge or passion for aggregate and trucking is of major value.

We provide a good atmosphere, wonderful family/work life balance. Your shop is in Sundre, it does not require travel - although the odd time off site to our other pits (within 45 minutes) or a truck stuck on the side of the road may be required.

Hours are Monday-Friday 7-5 (more available to suit your needs) Overtime after 8.
