MVCareers Terms of Service
Last updated: October 23, 2026
1. About MVCareers
MVCareers www.mvcareers.ca is a job board connecting job seekers and employers in Mountain View County, Alberta and surrounding communities. MVCareers is owned and operated by Small Town Girl Promotions ("we," "us," "our"), based in Sundre, Alberta.
2. Accepting these terms
By using MVCareers, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. If you use MVCareers on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that business.
3. Definitions
-
Job seeker: anyone browsing or responding to job postings.
-
Employer: any business, organization or individual posting a job opportunity.
-
Posting: a job listing, including its description, wage, location and application instructions.
-
Third-party listing: a posting sourced from another job site, such as the Government of Canada's Job Bank.
4. For job seekers
-
Browsing MVCareers is free and does not require an account.
-
MVCareers does not collect resumes or applications. You apply directly with the employer, using the instructions in each posting.
-
Any information you send to an employer is shared with them, not with us. The employer's own privacy practices apply.
-
We do not screen, verify or endorse employers. Use your judgment before sharing personal information, and never pay an employer to apply or be hired.
5. For employers
-
Posting a job on MVCareers is free. Optional paid upgrades (such as featured placement) may be offered.
-
By posting, you confirm that:
-
The job is real, currently open, and you are authorized to hire for it.
-
The posting is accurate, including wage, hours, location and job type.
-
The posting complies with Alberta's Employment Standards Code, the Alberta Human Rights Act and all other applicable laws, including not stating discriminatory requirements.
-
The job does not require applicants to pay fees, buy products, or recruit others.
-
-
You are responsible for your own hiring decisions, communication with applicants, and handling of applicant information.
-
You give us permission to display, format and share your posting on MVCareers and its social media channels to promote the opportunity.
6. Our right to edit or remove postings
We may review, edit for formatting, decline or remove any posting at any time, without notice or refund of unused upgrades, if we believe it breaks these terms, is misleading, or is not in the best interest of our community.
7. Third-party listings
Some postings come from other sources, such as the Government of Canada's Job Bank. These are marked as such and link to the original posting. We do not control, verify or guarantee third-party listings, and the source website's own terms apply when you visit it. Applications for these jobs are made through the original posting.
8. Prohibited use
You may not use MVCareers to:
-
Post fake, misleading, expired or duplicate jobs
-
Advertise pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, commission-only roles presented as salaried work, or opportunities that require payment from applicants
-
Collect personal information for purposes other than hiring for the posted role
-
Send spam or unsolicited marketing
-
Harass, discriminate against, or deceive anyone
-
Scrape, copy or republish MVCareers content in bulk without our written permission
-
Interfere with the site's security or operation
9. Disclaimers
MVCareers is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that postings are accurate, current or legitimate, that any job seeker will be hired, or that any employer will find a candidate. We are not a party to any employment relationship formed through the site.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Small Town Girl Promotions is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of MVCareers, from any posting, or from any interaction between job seekers and employers. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months / $100.
11. Indemnity
You agree to cover any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from content you post, your hiring decisions, or your breach of these terms.
12. Links to other websites
MVCareers links to employer websites, application forms and other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Continuing to use MVCareers after changes means you accept them.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
