Competitive Coach

Imagine Gymnastics Club located in Olds and Carstairs Alberta is seeking an experienced, organized and positive individual to join our team as a competitive coach. IGC offers a wide variety of competitive and recreational programs to communities located between Calgary and Red Deer. This position will require weekday afternoon-evening and weekend hours. We are a growing club, offer competitive wages and look forward to fresh energy and new ideas to make IGC a fun and efficiently run sport organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach competitive athletes in both Olds and Carstairs, helping them with their yearly goals and to achieve their full potential
• Co-ordinate with other competitive coaches to ensure coaching coverage for meets.
• Prepare for meets and Showcase in conjunction with Board of Directors and Committees
• Work with Coaching and Administrative staff to ensure administrative tasks are done in a timely manner
• Coordinate scheduling of Recreation and Competitive programs with the Administrative Services Manager
• Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
• Report to Board of Directors with any staffing/athlete conflicts so that they can be resolved in a coordinated fashion

Qualifications:

• 5 years coaching experience in a gymnastics setting.
• NCCP Gymnastics Foundations Certified or Comp 1 Artistic Gymnastics, Comp 2 preferred
• Knowledge of Sportsoft an asset
• Current First Aid
• Respect in Sport
• Criminal Record Check upon Hiring
