Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Route Truck Sales & Delivery Driver to join our team.

In this role, you will drive our sales and route truck to deliver supplies to dairy farms and customers throughout the province. You will build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, manage inventory on your route, and serve as a key point of contact for customer needs.

Job Details

Position Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday (50+ hours per week)

Travel: Deliveries across Alberta and Saskatchewan with overnight stays out of town

Shop Location: Olds, AB

Physical Demands: Involves physical labour (loading, unloading, and handling heavy supplies)

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Driving, Vehicle Care & Logistics:

• Drive safely, responsibly, and legally always.
• Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain and submit accurate driver’s logbooks.
• Fuel and clean the route truck, keeping it well-maintained and organized.
• Promptly report any mechanical or vehicle issues.
• Perform companywide deliveries to customers across the province.

Sales & Customer Service:

• Maintain, grow, and improve route truck sales performance.
• Build strong customer relations and represent the company professionally.
• Actively promote and sell company products to new and existing customers.
• Assist customers with sales inquiries, product recommendations, and customer service requests.
• Complete accurate sales run documentation and delivery invoicing.

Warehouse & Product Handling:

• Load stock and supplies onto the trucks.
• Load and unload products at customer sites
• Restock shelves and maintain shop cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Driver's License: Valid Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s License with a Q endorsement.
• Driver's Abstract: Must be able to provide a clean Driver’s Abstract for company records.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labour, including heavy lifting (loading/unloading supplies).
• Schedule: Ability to work a Monday to Friday (50+ hours per week) with overnights stays of town.
• Experience (Asset): A farm background with dairy experience is a strong asset but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate!
