Certified Teacher/Vice Principal

Olds Mountain View Christian School (OMVCS) is a private Alberta accredited Christian school located in Harmattan, Alberta, specializing in the education of children in Grades K-12. OMVCS is a member of AISCA (Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta). We are a small school of approximately 40 students.

OMVCS has an opportunity for a 1.0 FTE Certified Teacher who is able to take on the Vice Principal role. Under the direction and mentorship of the Principal, this individual will be assisting in our combined classroom working one on one with students in an array of subjects.

Qualifications

· Agrees to and adheres to our Statement of Faith – without reservation

· Is able to clearly express his or her faith and relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour

· Bachelor of Education

· AB Permanent Teacher Certificate

· Design effective strategies to meet the children’s diverse learning needs

· Effective communication skills

· Ability to handle confidential information

· Fluent in English

· Excellent English written and oral communication skills

· Proven attention to detail, organizational and documenting / tracking skills, as well as analytical problem-solving abilities
