About the Role
The Town of Carstairs is accepting applications for a seasonal, fulll-time Arena Operator at the Carstairs Memorial Arena. The successful candidate will perform a variety of dutires related to the safe, efficent operation and maintenance of the facility
Key Responsibilites and Accountabilities:
- Perform daily cleaning of the faciltiy and surrounding areas
- Support day-to-day arena operations
- Maintain the arena ice surface
- Provide excellent customer service to faciltiy users and the public
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilites:
- Ability to safely operate faciltiy related machinery and equipment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction, as well as collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Availabiltiy to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Certifications & Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in arena operations
- Recreation Faciltiy Personnel Arena Operator Level 1, or actively working towards certification
- Experience with the Olympia LVR Laser Leveling System considered an assest
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License with a clean driver's abstract
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset
