Looking for a summer opportunity that goes beyond the classroom? Mountain View Events Ltd., home of The Heritage Centre, is hiring 2–3 Marketing Summer Students for Summer 2026. This unique role combines marketing, content creation, and hands-on event experience at one of Central Alberta’s most beautiful wedding and event venues. You won’t just create content—you’ll help bring weddings, artisan markets, and special events to life.

What You’ll Be Doing Marketing & Content

• Assist with social media planning, content creation, and scheduling

• Support marketing campaigns and promotions

• Conduct market research and analyze trends

• Contribute to website updates (WordPress), SEO, and content

• Capture photo and video content for marketing use

Events & Weddings (Hands-On)

• Assist with setup and teardown of weddings and events

• Support coordination of vendors, timelines, and guest experience

• Capture behind-the-scenes content during live events

• Help maintain the venue’s high presentation standards

• Be part of delivering a memorable “WOW factor” experience

Position Details

• Term: June – August 2026 (4 months)

• Hours: 40 hours per week

• Positions Available: 2–3

• Work Environment: 100% on Site

Location & Requirements

4148 Highway 580, Mountain View County, AB T0M 0R0 (2 km east of Cremona)

• Valid driver’s licence required

• Reliable transportation required

• Must be available for some evenings and weekends (event-based role)

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary program (marketing preferred)

Skills We Value

• Creative thinking with strong attention to detail

• Experience with WordPress (website updates, content edits, basic SEO)

• Intermediate-level Canva skills (social posts, marketing materials, resizing, layouts)

• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
