About the Role
Position Summary:
The Data Management / Treasurer position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, accessibility, and financial security of organizational data for our non-profit daycare. This individual will oversee all financial and data-related tasks and ensure the timely and accurate entry and reporting of financial information while actively contributing to strategic decision-making as a sitting member of the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management Duties:
- Ensure appropriate turnaround time for all data entry tasks and updates.
- Review and enter data accurately into the organization’s databases and records management systems (e.g., OneDrive and Excel).
- Reconcile receipts, deposits, and cheques with bank and credit card statements; communicate with Executive Directors regarding any missing items.
- Monitor and update existing data records as needed to reflect current and accurate information.
- Perform data searches and generate reports to support programming, compliance, and funding initiatives, including grant applications.
- Ensure compliance with data security policies, including regular backups.
Board Member Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in monthly board meetings and strategic planning sessions.
- Provide insight and reports on financial and data trends to support board-level decision-making.
- Assist in setting policies related to finances, staff and parent handbooks, and job descriptions.
- Collaborate with other board members to fulfill the daycare’s mission, goals, and obligations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data entry, database management, or administrative support.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft OneDrive, WhatsApp, QuickBooks, and AGLC reporting is an asset (training will be provided for the right candidate).
- Experience in the non-profit sector is an asset but not required.
- Must be eligible and willing to serve on a non-profit Board of Directors.

- Attendance in our monthly Board Meetings and our Annual General Meeting
