Accredited Supports to the Community is recruiting energetic individuals who are seeking summer employment and returning to post secondary studies in the fall. These roles are situated in the towns of Didsbury and Olds and consist of casual, part, and full-time hours.
This opportunity is most suitable for people looking for a career in Human Services and those who endeavour to make a difference in their community. They must have great flexibility and interpersonal skills that fit working with a spectrum of disabilities.
In this role you will be working under the immediate direction and guidance of experienced staff supporting people within their home and community. Accredited Supports to the Community provides service supports 7 days a week in 24-hour care. The work week will consist of a variety of scheduled shifts that the successful candidates commit to in order to fill the needs of the individuals ASC serves.
The successful candidate will be skilled in the following:
· Willingness to learn on the job and participate in all orientations and trainings
· Follow verbal direction and understand policy and procedure
· Professional interpersonal and communication skills
· The committed capacity to work flexible hours (rotations, days, evenings, weekends)
· Committed to an appointed schedules developed on a month-by-month basis
· Able to work independently and seek guidance from team members
· Energetic and enthusiastic with creative activities and community outings
· Willing to assist with cleaning, cooking, daily task lists, and errands
· Provide one-on-one support, companionship, and/or participation in activities
· Provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check from local RCMP
· Over the age of 18
