Team Leader – Community Disability Services (Mixed Shifts)

Padnoma Support Services is hiring a Team Leader to mentor Community Disability Services Worker (CDSW) staff and provide direct support to adults with disabilities in home and community settings. This role combines front‑line supervision with hands‑on care, including safe lifts and transfers, wheelchair assistance, and person‑centered planning. Shifts include a mix of days, evenings, and overnight asleep; weekend coverage may be required as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and supervise CDSW staff: orientation, training, scheduling input, documentation quality, and performance feedback.
• Model best practices and support complex situations; contribute to assessments, ISP development, and implementation.
• Provide personalized care (personal care, meal prep, mobility support, safe lifts/transfers) and facilitate community inclusion.
• Foster collaborative relationships with clients, families/guardians, and partnering professionals.
• Maintain a positive, safe home environment and uphold agency policies, ethical standards, and service protocols.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/GED or proven related experience.
• Human Services training is an asset.
• Experience with transfers and lifts is required
• Supervisory experience in disability services (training/mentoring staff) is an asset.
• Compassionate, patient, reliable; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong oral and written communication; accurate, respectful documentation; computer literacy is an asset.
• Minimum 1 year working with persons with disabilities (more is an asset).

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, current driver’s abstract, and $2M liability coverage.
• Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector check.
• First Aid/CPR (preferred).
• Willingness to complete/maintain agency‑required training (e.g., Abuse Prevention & Response, Positive Behaviour Supports, CPI, Medication Administration, WHMIS, Safe Food Handling; Foundations or equivalent)

Schedule & Status

• Mixed day/evening/overnight asleep shifts; schedule set by program needs.
