Operations Lead (Hands-On, Growth to Management)

Job Type: Part time to Full-time
Job Overview
Boomer Movers Inc. is an established, growing senior move management company who has been helping older adults and their families navigate one of life’s most challenging transitions. We’re looking for a mature hands-on Operations Lead who will start in the field and grow into a leadership and management role.
This position is ideal for someone who loves seniors, hands on work, problem solving, and can lead by example, with a clear path into a operations management position.
What You’ll Do (Initially – Hands-On)
- Work directly on the job driving trucks on move days to learn processes alongside the team
- Assist with packing, moving, coordination, and logistics
- Support seniors and families with professionalism and care
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise on-site
- Ensure truck and job safety is carried out, efficiently, and to company standards
- Represent Boomer Movers positively with clients and partners
How the Role Grows
As you learn the business and demonstrate leadership, you will:
- Lead and supervise move teams
- Help train and onboard new staff
- Collaborate with superiors to improve workflows, systems, and checklists
- Take ownership of scheduling and job execution
- Step into a true operations management roll
Qualifications
- Experience in moving, logistics, trades, home services, or operations
- Comfortable with physical and hands-on work
- Strong communication and leadership potential
- Organized, reliable and calm under pressure
- Experience with seniors and/or customer-facing work is an asset
- Valid driver’s license/abstract & Q Endorsement required
