About the Role
Job Description
Create work orders and arrange bookings and communicate them to technicians.
· Provide service quotes and receive customer authorization for work to be performed on vehicles, finalize sales, and complete customer follow up.
· Provide proactive calls to customers to determine their satisfaction level with the service they have received.
· Recommend tire service, specialty tire service, wheel and mechanical service to customers; this includes describing warranties and associated costs to customers, ensuring requested product is available, and suggesting alternative product if requested product is not available in an acceptable time frame.
· Ensure that all products are billed accurately to the customer, and process all necessary information in the computer system.
· Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner; this includes having the appropriate vehicle license, using proper barriers to maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensuring equipment and loads in company vehicles are safely secured for transportation.
· Assist in inventory management through documentation processes, monthly cycle counts and annual inventory counts.
· Keep promotional material updated in the showroom.
· Complete assigned e-learning and safety courses and adhering to standards and policies as described in learning modules.
· Participate in all safety initiatives, as required or assigned, to guarantee safety at Fountain Tire.
· Special projects and other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Working knowledge of passenger, light truck tires, specialty tires, commercial, OTR, industrial tires and mechanical services.
· Customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers; this includes good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Effective listening skills with the ability to identify customer requirements and provide recommendations.
· Intermediate computer skills
· Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; this includes organization, time management and problem solving skills.
· Flexible, patient and calm when working in a fast paced environment
· Focus on meeting goals and targets
· Ability to lift 25 kilograms.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Customer service experience in the automotive aftermarket industry is preferred.
· A high school diploma or GED is an asset.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license permitting the independent operation of a passenger vehicle
· Must be able to provide a satisfactory passenger Driver’s Abstract from licensing province on as requested by management.
