The Town of Olds has an opening for a full-time Facilities Maintenance person. Reporting to the Supervisor – Facilities Maintenance, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting in completing preventive and emergency maintenance at all Town facilities.


Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent, a valid Class 5 Alberta drivers license, a valid Standard First Aid/CPR certificate, basic building trade skills (plumbing, carpentry or electrical), and the ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the public. A Fifth Class Power Engineer Certificate and Alberta Recreation Facilities Personnel Courses in Building Maintenance Level 1 and 2 would be assets.


The wage range for this position is $31.33 - $35.44. Annual salary based on a 40-hour work week. This position includes health benefits and participation in the Local Authorities Pension Plan (LAPP). Rotational stand-by, weekends, day and night shift work are required. A criminal record check and a current driver’s abstract will be required before an offer of employment is made.
