Support Worker – Part-Time (20-25 Hours/Week)
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic Support Worker to assist an independent adult woman with a developmental disability in maintaining an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing on-the-job support as needed
- Assisting with home management, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and organization
- Supporting minor personal care needs
- Accompanying and supporting participation in community activities such as yoga, swimming, classes, and appointments
- Researching and facilitating enjoyable weekend recreation and social activities
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal growth
Schedule:
- 20-25 hours per week most shifts will be daytime
- Evening and weekend availability is an asset
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and positive attitude
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle preferred
- Ability to work independently and promote choice and independence
Compensation:
- Starting at $18.00 per hour, based on experience
