Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restaurant and food industry, with a strong focus on meal preparation and food safety. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
• Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and ensuring proper food handling techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
