About Us

Next Generation Marketing is a Central Alberta-based agency that helps small businesses show up consistently and confidently online. We specialize in social media management and email marketing, blending content strategy with creativity to support brand growth. Our tone is casual yet intentional, and we value collaboration, clarity, and results-driven work.

Why This Role Exists

We help clients show up online consistently with on-brand, trustworthy content. You’ll start with Level 1 (hosting/scheduling), earn trust through quality and reliability, and grow into content creation (Level 2) and full client ownership (Level 3) as your skills and results mature.

Our Core Values

  • Creative & resourceful: You find simple, tasteful solutions and keep content fresh without overcomplicating.
  • Organized & reliable: You honor deadlines, follow checklists/SOPs, and effectively communicate before a deadline slips.
  • Clear communicator: You write clean captions, ask smart questions, and keep stakeholders in the loop.
  • Self-motivated: You work independently, manage your time, and deliver without hand-holding.
  • Tech-comfortable: You have experience with Canva, CapCut or similar editing platforms
  • Kind & coachable: You accept feedback, adjust fast, and support a calm, can-do team culture.

Role Scope & Progression

Level 1 - Hosting/Posting (Entry)

You’ll:

  • Schedule content across approved platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Follow posting calendars, client revisions, and posting checklists.
  • Light community monitoring (acknowledge comments/DMs per guidelines; flag and report issues).
  • Log completed work and basic metrics in templates.
  • Create monthly reports for each client

Success looks like: 100% on-time posts, zero brand guideline misses, clean logs, proactive flags, reporting completed by 3rd of each month

Must-Have Skills

  • Experience scheduling social posts and following structured SOPs.
  • Excellent written English; concise, error-free captions.
  • Working knowledge on all platforms: Meta Business Suite, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Canva, CapCut, and Google Drive.
  • Strong organization: can juggle multiple clients, meet deadlines, and document work.
  • Light analytics/reporting (UTMs, post insights).

Nice-to-Have (for growth into level 2 & 3 positions)

  • Short-form video editing (Reels/TikTok), basic motion/graphics.
  • Photography/videography basics (framing, lighting, audio).
  • Experience with small paid campaigns.

Availability & Collaboration

  • Hours: Flexible; generally weekdays. Content is to be scheduled in afteroon/early evening. This can be scheduled but may need to be manually posted at times.
  • Meetings: Quick weekly updates via texr/call; monthly in-person
  • Tools: We provide SOPs, brand kits, calendars, and templates. You provide your own hardware/software.

How We’ll Measure Success (KPIs)

  • Reliability: % posts live on time, adherence to SOPs/brand.
  • Communication: Responsiveness, completeness of updates, proactive risk flags.
