About the Role
The Town of Didsbury is currently accepting applications for a permanent, part-time lifeguard. Reporting to the Head Lifeguard, you will be responsible for lifeguarding facility programs, instructing facility lesson programs, and performing general facility maintenance and cleaning while promoting a fun, safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
The ideal candidate for this position will exhibit sharp concentration skills to ensure the safety of patrons, have familiarity with water safety through experience in the aquatic environment, and a willingness to enforce rules and safety protocols.
WHAT THE TOWN OF DIDSBURY IS LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE:
REQUIRED: • Must be 18 years of age or older • Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard (NL) Certification • Swim for Life Instructor Certification • Experience in an aquatic environment • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. • Standard First Aid with CPR C (Current) • Clean Criminal Record Check
DESIRED: • Work Hazard Management Identification System (WHMIS) certification • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
