Didsbury Municipal Library requires an outgoing and enthusiastic employee to join our team! This permanent, part-time position is library duties and customer service.

Hours: 8-10 hours a week, afternoons and Saturday shifts.

Wage: $16.44 / hour

Responsibilities:

- Shelving returned materials

- Shelf reading the library collection

- Assisting patrons with checking in and out of materials, requests, holds and general library questions

- Maintaining order in the library and neatness of the shelves

- Performing other duties as assigned by the library manager or other supervising staff

Qualifications

- Minimum 14 years of age

- Understanding and appreciation of the philosophy of public library service to all in accordance with human rights legislation and the principles of equity and access in the delivery of library service.

- Ability to organize materials following numerical and alphabetical sequences
