Library Clerk: Customer Relations and Marketing

Didsbury Municipal Library requires an outgoing and enthusiastic employee to join our team! This permanent, part-time position is library services and marketing.

Part-time: Minimum 28 hrs / week; days, evenings, and weekend shifts

Wage: $20.69 / hour

Responsibilities:

· Perform circulation and other clerical functions as needed; including but not limited to:

o Issuing and renewing library memberships

o Circulating library materials

o Shelving and shelf reading

o Handling financial transactions

o Providing reference services on the front desk, including technological assistance

· Deliver excellent customer service

· Create and distribute promotional materials related to library services and programs.

· Other duties as may pertain to the position

Qualifications:

· A thorough understanding of marketing elements, including traditional and digital marketing, and industry trends.

· Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Previous library or marketing experience is an asset
